Once again I was sick. I dunno if I just come down with something every 11 weeks or if it was just coincidence. Anyway, I was out early and went home so I don’t have a lot of commentary on the night.

Here was the order to my knowledge:

• 2nd - Jared
• 3rd - George
• 4th - Joel
• 5th - Tyler
• 6th - Al
• 7th - Mike
• 8th - Peever

I also have to say I really liked the way the final chip stacks added up. Everyone was close but there was still a significant spread between first and last. Not 10 to 1 like last year but significant. The fact that the top 3 finishers were not from the top of the point system means that anyone can win the final table and the advantage doesn’t favor one person. There is still an advantage to finishing first but it’s not so favorable that they are pretty much guaranteed a win at the final table. This format worked much better and proved to be far less controversial.

Season X is around the corner and I just want to get a feel for when to start. Anything works for me but I know everyone has some things going on over the summer so I want a little feedback. Also, if you have any opinions that aren’t DOUCHE comments, feel free to comment below and I will take them into consideration.

Roller hockey was a bit later tonight so Bry and I did our best not to give Tyler and Al anymore free points. I also brought my dad in to spare just in case we had to leave before we were done. Joel had to check the rules to see if that was OK.

Just before we left for hockey Bry was able to double up and then take another huge pot from Tyler. My dad took over and I am not sure what happened after that but he still only took 3rd. Cheaters.

Final table is this Saturday. Looking to shuffle up and deal at 7pm.

Well it’s roller hockey season which means at least 4 of us are missing when there is a game conflict, as was the case tonight. I could have pulled in a spare but since I was the only one able to I decided not to just to keep things fair (and Tyler quiet).

So with just three players (Tyler out too), there was some big points to be had.

Bosak filled in for George this week, Bry is in Vegas, and Mike was a last minute no-show. Interesting finish this week with a 4 way all-in. Ace on the river.

Next week Peever, Mike, Bry, and George will be missing. That makes 4 players and whatever spares are contacted. I will leave it up to Jared, Al, Tyler, and Joel if they want to re-schedule or play it out. Please comment on this post to let me know. Majority rules.

So last night we voted on the buy-in rule and after a 5-3 vote the rule will stay. Mike once again utilized his right to buy back in and this time was not as successful as the last one. As expected there was no bitching about it this time either.
